PVI recommended explicitly require consumer engagement in all research projects; projects to build a robust evidence base about health consumers’ needs, preferences, perspectives and experiences; and developing social science and health economic researchers alongside traditional health researchers.

PVI values transparency to nurture informed, active health consumers who have confidence in their health system. PVI’s preference was for all entities to be published on acceptance for evaluation. Includes comments on each option.
